Thean is what is known as a Dorotheanthus Bellidformis dragon. An umbrakin version at that. These flower dragons are hardy, able to withstand the desert and drier climates. Many of these dragons are quite lazy and would much prefer laying about undisturbed. Most won't move unless you're insistently pushing them over, and even still, they are stubborn.

Umbrakin versions are much the same, but their temperament runs a little hot. Push one too much, and you may lose a hand. These dragons all have spikes on their bodies, but the alignment and formation all look different, and you'll never find one with the same pattern.

One thing that remains the same is the large petal like wings they sport. The waxy wings often hide and protect the flowers they harbor. They only open them during the daylight hours to absorb the sun's rays. And they are misleading. These dragons rarely, if ever, fly. They can barely glide.

Thean himself is typical for his kind. He sleeps primarily during the day, hiding beneath the natural flowers and absorbing light. His favorite sleeping areas are in potted plants raised above the ground. They have the best vantage point where the sleepy dragon can watch the world drift on.

Just be mindful not to disturb him. His venom is potent, and he can be a very grumpy bean.

The sculptures and figurines are one-of-a-kind and lovingly handmade. All sculptures, except really small ones, have wire armature and bulked with tinfoil. The clay used is cosclay and pigmented with mica powder, Fimo colored clay, or apoxie. Any paints used are FolkArt acrylic paints. The eyes are also hand painted. I am more than happy to do custom creatures, just keep in mind there will always be variations. The figurines are hand stamped to ensure you are receiving a unique and genuine dragon from me. Small creations generally just have my initials: B.M. Larger sculptures have my full art name: ClayLeafCreations.

You will also receive a Signed Certificate of Authenticity with each figurine/sculpture purchased. The only exception is the glow in the dark hatchlings, unless customized with personal details. ********Best use indoors away from direct, constant, sunlight and heat. They are not safe for aquarium use. To clean, please wipe gently with a cloth. A small keyboard air blower can be used to get into small areas. This sculpture is intended for display purposes and not meant for rough handling. Please let me know if you have any questions! I am happy to provide customer support.********This listing will be shipped via USPS or UPS WITH TRACKING for Domestic US (Insurance included for US domestic ) •••••••••••••••••••••••••When you receive your new sculpture, please open the package very carefully! Polymer clay and apoxie are durable clays, however it IS breakable! If something should occur where there is a small break, most can be repaired with a small dab of super glue. If there happens to be larger cracks or breaks such as if the piece falls, you can reach out to me, and I can walk you through repairs.

With pieces that are larger and made with apoxie, I highly recommend taking a picture of the box before you open it, and then as you open it so that we can see any damage to the box and how the package was wrapped. Big sculpture I generally double box for extra safety to prevent breaks. Rarely, things happen in the shipping process and if the box and sculpture were damaged by the post office, we need these pictures to file a claim with the post office. I also include some apoxie clay and instructions on how to use the clay for those larger sculptures.

I accept returns on a case-by-case basis, and I must be contacted within the first week of receiving the piece.

*************The sculptures are not toys, please be sure to keep them out of the reach of children and animals. Broken pieces or small pieces can pose as a choking hazard and should be either glued back onto the figurine immediately or thrown away.
